Blog Hop with Catherine Scanlon Designs & Art Gone Wild!

Welcome Everyone! What an exciting day....today is a RED letter day for me --as this is my very first time as a BLOG HOP participant.  Exciting huh?!?!  YES!  I would like to thank Catherine Scanlon for the invite and give a shout out to all my co-blog hop buddies.  I just know you are going to have a ball 'hopping' around to see all the beautiful work they have created for this fun day!  (links to their blogs below)
So....let's get started! The stamp set that I worked with is from Art Gone Wild! designed by Catherine Scanlon Designs.  I used the set named Clara Paisley and it was so fun to work with!  Here is a picture of the entire set.  You can see the versatility of this set... it can used with many different mediums and also can be used to create a variety of projects.
When you head over to Art Gone Wild!  Look for this image above and click on it to see Catherine's full product line.
One of the ideas that immediately popped into my head when I saw this set was to use this set to create a stationary set.  This is such an easy project to create and it would make a great Mother's Day gift.
You can view the tutorial over here at Splitcoast Stampers to make the box.  With the use of the Scor-Pal it just took a few score marks to create it. Also included in this stationary set are hand stamped stationary cards and hand stamped envelopes.  To begin, I used the paisley stamp with Versamark to create the printed pattern on the green card stock.  This particular image would also be beautiful as a focal point on a card front.

I stamped one  of the flourish stamps on the stationary cards and then  stamped over the flourish image the letter "K" in dark chocolate ink.  I colored the flower with a Copic marker, added a pearl and called it a day!  Simple. Simple. For an extra touch I used Glossy Accents on top of the letter k to make it dimensional. For the envelopes, again I simply stamped the image in green ink, and colored in the berries for a pop of color.
For the top of the box I made a simple tag; again stamping it with one of the flourish stamps. Added some adorable printed paper and seam binding for a bow. Cute. Cute. Cute!  There truly are so many possibilities with this stamp set.
I hope that you have enjoyed the project I have created. Again, thank you for visiting!  Please share some love and leave me a comment and let me know you were here.   Follow the links below enjoy all the other great ladies' blogs!  Be sure to visit Catherine's blog for the opportunity to win some

Make a Wish....

Hello Friends!
Today I would like to show you this adorable card that I made with a cute stamp set by Catherine Scanlon Designs.  I used the Flower Stamp 2 set from her collection over at Art Gone Wild!  I also used her Metal Ovals die set.
This is the Flowers Stamp 2 Set

As you can see I made the flower my focal point of the card.  To begin, I stamped the image with with Black Momento Ink and fussy cut the flower and leaves.  I then used my Derwent Inktense Blocks to color the flower and then for the leaves I used Distress Stain.  Once that was done I used Distress Crackle Paint on the flower and leaves and set them aside to dry.  Once they were dry I used Distress Stains in Pine Needles & Mustard Seed over the Distress Crackle.  Love how it seeps into the cracks of the Crackle!  In the middle of the flower I used red sticky tape and micro beads to create the center.  This adds some cool texture.

To finish up the card I used my sewing machine to add some sticking around the edges of my patterned paper, added my sentiment, and then a couple of pearls to finish it up.  For the oval mats, I popped them up with foam tape before adding the flower.

Thanks for visiting!  Come back every day for the rest of the week to see more great projects that I have created with Catherine's great designs.  On Thursday I will also be part of a fun blog hop that I know you won't want to miss.  If you haven't already click on the right to become a follower of my blog!

Cheers~ k.
