I put this little pet mat on the couch because my husband has let the little girl (bella) on the couch because she is so cute and has won his heart. Tonight I came up and found the two of them snuggling on it! If you notice Toby is take up the majority of it and Bella is hanging off the edge. LOL. Typical.
I wasn't going to post today. But thought this was too damn cute to pass up!

Happy Turkey Day Week!!!
Happy Monday!!

I figured I would take some time to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving before I get too wrapped up in the Holiday madness! This holiday is on the top of my list of favorites. Something about this time of the year I love! I really enjoy the fall weather that then turns into brisk winter. My best friend is a hot weather, sun freak! I am more of a cool-cold weather person. Its funny how we all find joy in such different things.
Our family has plenty to be thankful for this year. First, Chris and I. I am thankful that I have a partner who is by my side raising the three beasts God has given to us. Did I say beasts?? Oops, I meant to say angels. :o) And seriously we are thankful for the girls. They are beautiful, sweet at times, and good girls. They are active, opinionated, fun, and very giggly! Our lives would be very different, and boring without them! We are thankful for our house. We know lots of people who have lost there house this past year and are grateful that we are able to pay for our house each month. Although alot of Chris's overtime has been cut we are thankful that he has such a reliable job. Being a nurse is not a job I would ever want, but, in return for all he does at least he has job security. (i hope!) We are also thankful that I have a job I love so much. It was a bit of an adjustment going back to work for all of us, but, not only was I able to get a job in today's economy-- I get to go to a job I love and come home happy I went to work. I'm thankful for my parents. My dad has had his share of health issues this year and is ending the year healthy and alive. I am thankful that my mom is such a strong woman and able to be my dads rock. As hard as this has been on her she maintains life business as usual. I am thankful for my circle of friends. I have the greatest friends in the world and they make my day to day life fun and interesting and are always there for me--- Last but not least---I am very thankful for my dog Toby. He always listens perfectly and never talks back...... I like that.
I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.

What are you thankful for???

this is my cousin sarah who lives in las vagas. she is expecting her first child anytime. the very special bond that sarah and i share is that she was present for the birth of my daughter emily. i so wish that we lived in the same state so that i would be able to be closer to her when she has her baby. she knows she is having a boy and is naming him harrison.
this morning i showed emily and sophie this picture of sarah because the last time we saw her was this summer and she wasnt nearly as big, and sophia's response was "how many is she having?"
enjoy your day.

Working with some cool holiday stamps....

This stamp confuses me when I look at them. I love the way it looks but when I stamp it there is so much black I never know what to do with it. Today I bit the bullet and stamped it twice, embossed it with fine detail embossing powder and then used my COPIC markers to color it. The photo shows the stamped image unmounted, the rubber stamp bock, and a plain stamped and embossed image. I used the stamp block as my guide to bring it to life. I think the results are really neat. I am happy FOR ONCE with this results of this type of stamped image.

So I ask: What do you struggle with? {lets keep this to paper crafting-lol} Maybe we can help each other out with some tips and tricks!!

week in review!

Hey There Everyone!
Design Team meeting today at Bella Art. We are still all getting to know each other, but boy it was fun! Many of us have become fast friends, like we have known each other for a long time. It is exciting to see your work hanging on the "wall of fame". Before you know it we will have stars in the sidewalk!
On Saturday it was a crazy, busy day with four soccer games, work, and a clogged cesspool! Ugg! The games started at 6:30 in the AM--which was like the middle of the night for me, and the last one was at 7:40 at night. I fit work in the middle of the day.
On Friday I was out of commission because 1/2 way through my day on Thursday I felt like a Mack Truck had run over me followed by an 18 wheeler. I had a "24 hour" flu bug that knocked me on my butt! It scared the kids because Chris had to come and get me from work because I was so was so sick to my stomach I didn't think I could drive and puke at the same time (good graphic writing there--my teachers always liked adjectives). Here is a side note-Sophie has this weird thing where we aren't allowed to have the windows open in the car, even on a nice day, because it hurts her ears. This has been the case since she was a little girl. Well yesterday after I was feeling better she wanted to let me know that she knew how much I didn't feel good on Thurs. when they came to get me at work, so she put up with the pain of the window being open as a sacrifice to me. Aww.....that kid!
Finally a full week this week of school for the kids, which is the first in three weeks for us here in RI! Hoping to get alot done and things to show you!
If you are local I am teaching several (alot) of different classes in the next three weeks so go to www.bellaartonline.com to check them out and register.

DR. PHIL ......
Here is the test results I received from a quiz I took on Facebook given by Dr. Phil.

Your Result: The Lively Center of Attention -

Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not one to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.

Falling in Love an Inch at a Time
This is my very first "inchie". So, two things here....one this little chick is from Denami Designs. This past weekend at Bella ART we had 4 classes with Debra who is an instructor from Denami. As I was unpacking these little critters, I SWORE I would not even like these chicks...no matter what!! Guess what! They are so stinkin' cute!!!!! So....a couple came home with me! Secondly, have you heard of "inchies"??? This is my first official inchie that I have made. This is a craze and we carry many inchie stamps at the store. They are so cute..and little, and cute...and you can store so many of them in such a little amount of space!! I must say I like them. Inchie stamps are actually just 1" x 1" big. So you can actually use any image that is this size. You can create a magnet, an embellishment, or pin. People trade them, make one of a kind ones...and it goes on and on. Bella is going to be having some classes with these, or a monthly club, so stay tuned. As always you can check out the website for more info. This Friday night also there is a CROP at Bella from 6-11. Come and scrapbook, card make, have a bite to eat (yummy), and socialize. The cost is $15 --and you are guaranteed a good time! You can sign up through the website. Do it quick as space is limited! It is already Thurs. for goodness sakes!!! Also, Saturday I am teaching a Maya Road Chipboard Book Class from 2-4, Cost is $28, and you will go home with a finished project. Very Cute book!! Hope to see you this weekend!!!!
{hugs} kookyd

P.S.-------->>> does anyone comment anymore?? We are getting tons of hits a day and noone leaves comments?!? Whats up with that????? LEAVE A COMMENT AND TELL ME WHY YOU DON'T LEAVE COMMENTS!!
