Wednesday, April 30, 2008 this is not suppose to be a once a month blog!!!!!!

26.4 lbs. and counting.
I weighed in today and I lost almost 6 lbs. last week! I knew I had been really good, but, never expected that! So...last week when I met with the nutritionist they took away my canned beets, and I had to lower my sodium intake, which I thought was pretty good. Oh yeah, and the other thing was I couldn't have so many olives in a week. Can't a girl have her olives and beets and eat them too...heck..what good is a martini with no olives?!?! LOL
I did as I was told and the results proved she knows what she is talking about! My clothes are getting baggy, which is really great, people really haven't noticed that I am dwindling down to nothing, but I know it will come in time. I remember a few years back, I lost 40+ lbs. while going through my divorce and no one noticed until I hit 40 lbs., it was really weird.
What I find most fascinating about proper nutrition is you can really eat great food, alot of it, and still lose weight! It's like I have spent years eating non or low fat items, and thinking things like eggs aren't good, but the truth is you really just have to become educated on what purpose things like protein, fat, calcium, fiber, and sodium all have to do with your body. My energy level is amazing! I am basically caffeine free, a cup of coffee here and there {with sugar free, low calorie vanilla caramel cream} no headaches, and my lupus has been doing excellent! I don't take ibuprofen daily as I was doing to help with my pain and inflammation of my body.
Products I have discovered and LOVE:
Kashi Friends Cinnamon Raisin, Kashi Whole grain pilaf, Skinny Cow Ice Cream bars and sandwiches, Sugar Free Lemon pudding with wheat germ on top, water with cherry pomegranite crystal light, exercise (it really is addicting!!!) to name a few. Fiber one bars are my new guilty pleasure, they are a treat.
Sophie is doing daily sit-ups with me, and I have been walking {my BFF Maria has been kicking my butt while we walk~}, doing the treadmill, and also weight training a total of 5-6 times a week.
The thing I could say is different this time around, is that I don't feel deprived. In the past, with programs such as Weight Watchers, it was about food intake, somewhat well balanced, but no one really went through my food log with a fine tooth comb to say not enough calcium or veggies, and I have found that very helpful, I think about it differently. So moving more, and eating more sensible has really made a difference.
Life is busy, kids are great. Its so hard being a mom, its tiring, and well, honestly really not fun. Three girls with hormones flying around... people warned us. Lots of end of the year activities, and soccer keeps us busy.
I think tomorrow I am suppose to get back the ATC swap I did through Flaxychick, I am excited to see them! I will post them when they arrive.
On Splitcoast the new round of DSS has started, if you have never done this before .... your missing out! It is really fun. You can add your name to the list for next round. I was disappointed that a class I was suppose to take on Friday night was cancelled because the the teacher has a family emergency. I was really looking forward to that...bummer!! And my favorite LSS has lots of damage from the heavy rains at the beginning of the week, they will be closed for up to three weeks!! YIKES! {whats an addict to do??}
Stay smiling everyone!!!

Thanks for sharing! It was like I was writing this post.

Keep up the good work with the nutrition. It's really inspired me to get to work on myself.
